Description: Dominion Life Assurance Company Head office located at 14 Erb St. West at Albert Street. Notes: The first Dominion Life head office from 1899 to 1912 was located at corner of Dupont and King Streets and owned by Waterloo's first insurance company, the Waterloo Mutual Fire Insurance Company, established in 1863. Molson's Bank also shared this building. In 1912 Dominion Life moved into a building at 14 Erb Street west at Albert constructed in 1879 by the Ontario Mutual Life Assurance Company. The building was later used by the Canada Health and Accident Assurance Company and by Waterloo Mutual Fire Insurance Company. The building underwent extensive renovations and became a division of the Waterloo Regional Police Department in 1991. Photo: after 1912
